Jean L. (Zandy) Fidler
September 2, 1928 -- August 7, 2023
Jean’s working career was spent as a dental assistant for Dr. Norton L. Behney, Robesonia. She retired in 1987 after 26 years.
A member of the St. Paul’s UCC Church in Robesonia since 1951, she was very active volunteering her time for a variety of church programs. Jean always had a smile on her face when her chocolate cakes would sell very quickly at their church bazaars.
She also volunteered with the Robesonia Community Library, Meals on Wheels and coordinating Robesonia Community Churches’ Blood Drives.
Jean is survived by her son, Richard G. Fidler, husband of Merry (Ramagano), Sinking Spring, PA; two grandchildren, Kristin E., wife of Kevin A. Cavicchi, Wadsworth, OH; and Matthew R., husband of Lauren M. Fidler, Downingtown, PA; and one great grandson, Owen D. Cavicchi.
She was predeceased by her brothers Charles, Robert D., Steven A. and L. Thomas Zandy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 West Penn Avenue, Robesonia, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Motz officiating. Burial will follow in Heidelberg Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 to 11:30am at the church.
