Mabel H. (Renner) Dech

Mabel H. (Renner) Dech, 95, Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville, and formerly of Robesonia, died Dec. 1, 2006, at 1:40 p.m. in Reading Hospital.

Her husband, the Rev. Elmer A. Dech, died December 17, 1997.

Born in Northampton County, she was a daughter of the late George O. and Culy (Person) Renner.

She was a member of First Reformed Church, Wernersville, where she was an organist for several years, and was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Robesonia, where she was leader of the women’s association.

She was also a member of the Robesonia Women’s Club.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Elmer R. Dech, Keene, N.H.; and the Rev. Merle R. Dech, husband of Florence, Summerfield, Fla.; and a daughter, Joyce R., wife of Stuart R. Porter, Penn Yan, N.Y.

There are also eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services: 
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Robesonia.

Visitation:
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, and Wednesday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the church.

Burial:
St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Seemsville, PA.
