The Rev. Edwin S. Leinbach

1878  --  April 29, 1946

The Rev. Edwin Samuel Leinbach was the third called pastor of St. Paul’s Reformed Church in Robesonia.

The Rev. Edwin Samuel Leinbach was the ninth child (the second son) of the Rev. Thomas Calvin Leinbach and Maria Rebecca (Seibert) Leinbach.

Born in Womelsdorf in 1878, he studied at Albright College, Franklin and Marshall College, and Lancaster Theological Seminary.

     At the age of 66 his father continued to serve the Bernville Charge for the next six years with Edwin's help as the associate pastor.  The Charge was then comprised of North Heidelberg, St. Thomas Church in Bernville, Zion's Church in Strausstown, St. John's (Host), Christ Church near Bernville, and the St. Daniel's Congregation in Robesonia.  in 1909 upon the death of his father he accepted a call to the newly-formed charge comprised of St. Paul's Church in Robesoina, North Heidelberg, and the St. John's (Host) Church.

     He was united in marriage to Carrie Mae Bausch and resided in Womelsdorf until the parsonage was built on the west side of St. Paul's Church.  They had two children Marjorie June and Thomas Calvin.
